Maelstrom Protocol is a weekly challenge mode designed for all Rainbow Six players, who get to take the best of nine subzones each with increasing difficulty, tougher enemies, less resources and shorter time limits. Earning points create a place for competition in 4 classes – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and even Diamond, each with the special headgear and REACT credits. At launch, players can both tackle Maelstrom Protocol and weekly Assignments, with an immediate deployment of Crisis Events. The Rainbow Six Extraction will take place on January 20, 2022, with a full play, a subsave, and a complete cross-progression on all platforms, including the PlayStation 4 and 5.
