What is Arcane?

Riot Games Arcane is a long-awaited animated film based on the company’s worldwide popular MOBA title League of Legends. The story emphasizes the relationship between the LoL characters Jinx and Vi. While the series tells the story of these two sisters, the focus is on a more complex affair, with the fictional regions of Piltover, which bastion of technology and innovation, and Zaun, a ruthless city that is rife with crime and poverty. The series premiered on Saturday with Act 1. While we’re not getting into spoilers here, for those who have already watched the first three episodes and are looking for more reading, we cut down some of the most popular questions and the biggest fan theories to come out of the first Act.

Arcane crosses over to a set of Riots titles.

World Vision and the Games of Riot celebrated the launch of Arcane, with great events both in the real world and in its videogame universe. From free promotions in all five games, to in-game events unlocking new playable content, to promotional deals with real-world companies like Compartes Chocolatier, Epic Games Fortnite and Rihannas Fenty Beauty, Riot went out completely. With Act 2, set to release on Nov. 13, it remains to be seen what else Riot has in store.
