It’s in fact much more demanding than developers had intended. The developer admitted that the game was far more difficult than planned in a recent stream (and a subsequent Reddit post recapping it). The team has identified a number of causes for this unintended challenge. One of them would be to deal with trauma damage too quickly and speedrunning the only viable way of faring on higher difficulties. Turtle rock says the high spawn rate of Special Ridden has contributed to the games grueling challenge quite a bit. The developer wrote: We believed the recent fix for specials often duplicating their spawn cards completely addressed the increased difficulty and we spoke very quickly. Our analysis started in 2000. We’ll finish this and continue to create a game that improves over time. There’s no word yet on what exactly the scheduled time for fixing these problems is, but fans should appreciate it. The developers are listening to feedback and making changes, now that there’s a timeline for this game. Given the long-term plans for the games of Turtle Rock and WB Games, it is reassuring to know that changes have been made to ensure a more balanced and fun experience. Back 4 Bloodis now available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
