Credit: Blizzard Entertainment Since the launch of Diablo II: Resurrected, fans told us they enjoyed how the remaster kept up with classic Diablo II experience, but wished to see some changes that would make their favorite class even more fun and viable. We poured in feedback, and continue to work together with the community and Diablo content creators to do it. Patch 2.4 will increase proficiency across all character classes with the goal of expanding diversity and class fantasy. Patch 2.4 also introduces new Horadric Cube Recipes, new Set Items, new Rune Words, and improvements to mercenary companions. With new Horadric Cube Recipes, you will be able to change Set Items to add new items to your inventory, and the item changes will allow for fewer changes, making players more competitive. New Rune Words will be added to complement the changes coming to class skills and mercenaries to add to any existing builds or recruit mercenaries that you might not have considered before. One of the most anticipated things fans waited for is the start of our first Ladder season which begins then a little later in the year. Players can compete for a top spot in the leaderboards and unlock hundreds of unique Rune Words found in Ladder. The Ladder characters will be moved into a non-Ladder version of the game, to continue playing until the next season begins again with new rewards.
