Will a Batgirl movie theater take over for the follow-up?
At that moment, the Batgirl movie still is streaming-only, although fans hope that that will change and this movie will be ready in full theater. According to the newspaper today, the Blue Beetle movie, directed by Antonio Soto, will come out to the theaters on August 18th, 2023, if it gets released as well. It joins Shazam 2 released in June 2023. It is possible that the lack of confirmed DC movies in 2023 has given Warner Bros the incentive to push Blue Beetle into a theater release.
