Valve released a new major update for Dota 2, which makes no general balance change, and features the return of its 3-player co-op mode, full control support and a massive rework of the hero Mirana. There’s also a suitcaseload of cosmetics included in this update, but you’ll need to splash out on Dota 2’s battle pass, which costs $7.49 at base level, and can be bought in more expensive forms, thereby earning $11,99 boost the 100 levels. That dude called Aghanim has as many dimensions as you want, and from this is the Mode of Violation. This is free for all of the players and can be used for party or solo matchmaking, and fourteen of the games’ heroes can be selected to run through it. Even if the whole roster isn’t available, it’s because each hero has their own upgrade choice and possible paths through the “Aghanim” Blessings “xtractor” which is basically the best way to get permanent buffs and new heroes through the game. This seems like the Dota-meets-Diablo. The idea is multiple actions that begin to escalate as you enter with more powers and become further, finding even more outrageous abilities and starting again. Yes, it’s a backward mode. But, with Christmas present coming in, it doesn’t have to be bad. The major concern of the community is that certain elements of the current update are locked behind the extreme high levels of the battle pass. This update doesn’t give up on a lot of substantial stuff as well, but it is also cosmetic. The exception is the rework of the popular character Mirana which is essentially paywalled and even then takes a lot of time to grind (if you don’t pay more), but clearly very much work has gone into it (for example, the developers re-recorded 800 voice lines). That doesn’t seem unreasonable, but, of course, everyone will have a opinion. In short, players would complain if something desirable wasn’t at the end of the track. Lastly, a pleasant surprise is the addition of the controllers. If I remember correctly, you could play Dota 2 on the Steam playerpad, but now the game is being able to work with any Steam Input-compatible device. Get that Nintendo Pro Controller ready people.
