Since the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone, many rumors and reports have surfaced suggesting that EA plans to replicate its rivals success by adding free-to-play elements to Battlefield as early as the upcoming Battlefield 2042. We were told that any of the announced modes could play free. Although the EA hasn’t ruled out the possibility out, it looks like it will only be a bit long if we see any free-to-play elements in Battlefield. Wilson added that DICEs priority was to reinvent the franchise first. A transcript of his statement is written out on paper for clarity. We think we take the breath of our Battlefield franchise today to make sure that that it would be a good idea for the developer to have a free-to-play component in the future.Job number one was truly a reinvention of the action shooter category and I think this is what they asked for. And that’s what they’ve achieved through this multiplayer multi-player, deeper engagement and creativity in the portal, and innovative new modes in and around the game. I think the next page of this will be the launch of Battlefield Mobile. And then as we continue to expand that, it will serve tens of millions of players as a whole.
