Streamer Weekend
By midnight, on Wednesday, December 17th, and Monday, December 20th, 2021, a selected group of streamers is given special pre-access to the first act of Expeditions: Rome, which will allow them to play the entire Greek campaign with the new Twitch of Expeditions: Rome. THQ Nordic partnered with Muxy Inc. (developing the extension and managing Twitch integration) and Leviathan Core Inc. (securing streamers and content creators for this weekend and for activations on the games release on January 20, 2022) to deliver the most ambitious, expansive Twitch extension ever. It will allow streamers to interact like never before with the game and their favorite streamer. In tv combats like Rome, audiences can turn-based combaters directly, heal enemy and streamers, get to re-name units and get in the action. The audience influences how challenging or easy each combat encounter is if it goes on. In spite of the violence, the audience is able to interact with their favorite streamer: vote about choices in dialogue, see the status of the streamers party, read the quest log to get caught up in the current goals, even send care packages there’s a lot of possible interactivity. Expeditions: Rome will move the border between single-player and multi-player experience. People will not only watch and chat with their streamers but also play together.
