One year and eight months after the PlayStation 4 release, Final Fantasy 7 Remake finally came to PC, now available on the Epic Games Store and only the Epic Games Store from December 16th. Look at the game, however. You’ll find a Subdirectory of Steamworks under Engine/Binaries/ThirdParty. Hop a couple of folders further down and there’s also a steam_api64.dll file. As with all the games before it was so much to come, Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be limited to the Epic Games Store for the usual 6-12 months before it gets available elsewhere. Some players report issues and problems with stuttering. As in the parking lot, framerates are momentarily declining by 30 fps, even with a GTX 3080 and other specs much above the Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s schedule. I am enjoying it so much, too. I never played the original until I was in my adulthood. So far, my nostalgia has not changed, just made Fraser declare that the Final Fantasy 7 remake took a turn from his childhood.
