According to Yoshida, though players with active subscriptions receive priority if they logged in, even free trial players were unable to login outside late night and early morning hours. In the future, the sales suspension of Final Fantasy XIV will have its end, so Square Enix is coordinating with its retail partners. Similarly, all new advertising for the game is going to be suspended, but some already scheduled ones will not have been made possible. Yoshida didn’t give a schedule for the beginning of the season, but pledged to keep the forecasted situation. He also apologized for her inconvenience, and asked for more understanding and cooperation. Despite the stop of Final Fantasy XIV sales, Yoshidas posted updates of the action being taken, and compensation for the affected players. Square Enix will grant 14 more days of games as of the 21st of December 2021. That’s up to seven days of games given earlier. The post was updated about the now-infamous Error 2002 issue that affects users at logins. Error 2002 occured when players who’ve entered the login queue are kicked out of the queue. The most common situations were related to connection instability or a huge number of players waiting in line. The latest update revealed a login-related bug that happened to Final Fantasy XIV version 1.0. They did the patch, and they would deploy it in the next scheduled patch, version 6.01. This patch is going to be released on December 21 2021. Yoshida, however, said the plans for the forthcoming patch are set to change a bit. Without major issues, patch 6.05 will go ahead as planned on January 4, 2022. The patch 6.05 will be added to new assets, such as the new tomestone currency, the Pandmonium: Asphodelos (Savage) raid and the Excitatron 6000.
