Ubisoft have filed a new trademark forSplinter Cell. The applications were filed on December 6th. Trademark applications need to suggest that a new game is currently in its progress, yet often, once again, it is merely a case of companies protecting their properties, even if it’s a rumour over the past, many are seeing this filing with an eyebrow raised. In October, Ubisoft reported that its x86 platform had greenlit its new version of the Spyder-Jones technology at the end of its year, with the project transferring into the production’s early stages. There is a claim that Ubisoft was also testing what could be a new game before E3. Earlier this year, reports suggest that the nextSplinter cellgame was built as an open world title.
