According to a new report, this new IP is about to be released sometime in 2023. This means that Gears of War 6 will have limited effect at the earliest 2025, with 2026 coming on the table, too. The report is made up of the story in support of Xbox leaker Rand al Thor 19, who claims to hear as much of the Xbox Insider and leaked data from Jez Corden during a recent episode of the XNC podcast. Unfortunately, that is the extent of the report. No matter whether that’s true, we don’t know. That said, even if it’s all completely true, the world might change as well. We have a lot of time left to say, and of course the problem is that they don’t have very much accountability, which means they’re usually fake. Nevertheless, the source is proven to be reliable and reputable in the past. Since taking over the reign of Epic Games, the Coalition shattered for the heights of the original trilogy, like 343 Industries, and struggled with Halo since taking over from Bungie. Among all, Gears of War 5 was a step towards the right, following the Gears of War 4. Indeed, ComicBook’s reviewer had nothing but positives to say about it: to be honest. “Gears 5 is extremely great from start to finish, and is the best port on the platform, as well,” reads a snippet from our review of the game. In spite of the poorness of server and server issues, I can play the entire game without issue: an entirely new set of devices that aren’t the latest in the field, it does not even exist. The visuals are gorgeous, gameplay is interesting and gory, the campaign is heartfelt with impressive performances from the cast, and it is a very fun experience from start to finish. This is a title for the fans of the series, and is an example of how The Coalition put their mark on the franchise.”
