In our evaluation, we gave 5,500 stars to the second generation AirPods. We said they didn’t match their convenience, ease of use and fit and finish. The second generation isn’t a big leap over the originals, but they have plenty of extras. Firstly, the H1 chip allows the syncing more fast with the iPhone, while other syncing modes allow the hands-free Siri activation. They both make using the headphones a lot easier. These versions come with a wired charging case so you can keep your AirPods juiced up on the go. The AirPods themselves have up to five hours of listening time, and that includes more than 24 hours with a fully charged case. When we reviewed these AirPods, we made them a great purchase, but they weren’t good upgrades. That’s why an upgrade from the original AirPod didn’t make money. Nevertheless, that was at the original price of 159 dollars. If you still rock the first generation AirPods, then getting the second generation for under $100 is an easy decision.
