In a recent interview with IGNin, Stahelski said that he and his team are trying their best to make sure that it closely resembles the source material. Stahelski even acknowledged that many videogame movies haven’t been successful in the past, and certainly doesn’t want it to be the case with Ghost of Tsushima. “We’d like to do that right.” You know how to adapt to game play. We’re taking time to get done right,” he explained. “We work very closely with the game developers to make sure that we are always focused on what we are doing.” Stahelski told us that at present Ghost of Tsushima is still doing its job of having its script written. In addition, he didn’t commit to being involved with the movie by specific actors. While he asked whether Daisuke Tsuji, who portrayed Jin Sakai as the protagonist of the video game, could come back in the film, Stahelski said they still haven’t got far enough into this process to make casting decisions. At this time, we still have no fixed date for the release of Ghost of Tsushima, which means it may not be possible to do the right thing for us. That being said, there’s an interesting possibility that we can learn more about that film over 2022. Should future updates come about, we’ll keep you a secret in that direction here on ComicBook.com. Do you think this horror film adaptation will actually come to a good end?
