The Hugo Award is a long-running award in fiction and science fiction. The most successful and acclaimed authors of history have voted for the awards over the years. The awards recognize people like N.K. Jemisin, Neil Gaiman, William Gibson, Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke. This year the Hugos awarded a video game award. Hades beat contests like Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Last of Us 2, and Spiritfarer. While the award is not permanent, the Hugos currently are considering adding a category to future award seasons. In a video posted on Twitter, Greg Kasavin said the team was incredibly honored to receive the award. Hades was immediately impressive, not just because he was slick, but also because of the incredibly interesting writing and story unfolded as players tried to help Zagreus, the son of Hades, escape from his father’s realm.
