Add a friend to Steam.
If you want to gift someone an arcade, you’ll need to add a friend’s game. To do that, open the Steam client on your PC, click the Friends tab and then click a Friend from the drop-down menu. Marshall Gunnell/IDG At the next screen, you’ll be given several different ways to make friends. If you have a friend code, please enter the Enter a friend code text box. You can also copy your friend code or the Quick Invite link to help you to another person, so that they can add you as a friend. By entering the profilename of his friends or by pressing Enter, enter your Steam username in the textbox Enter your friends. David Smith, Mary, “Small Gunnell” and IgT, “Phew”. Give a game from the Steam-advertised or downloadable website.
You can give a game to one of your Steam friends from the local Steam store or the official Steam Store. Open one of these and log in if youre not already. In the search box located in the right corner of the window, enter your name on the game you want to give to them. Choose the game from the list or press Enter to find it next. Marshall Gunnell/IDG On the next page you will find a lot of information about the chosen game. Scroll down and click the green button Add to cart. Marshall Gunnell/IDG You’ll be in your cart now automatically. Click Buy as a gift on the left. Marshall Gunnell/IDG. Next, you’ll need to pick the kind of friend you want to gift the game to. Select the recipient using a bubble on the left of the list, then by pressing Continue. Gunnell-IDG Marshall, pistol/sadler. From there you can enter a personalized message and then you have to enter your payment details. The game will be gifted to your friend once the payment is submitted. Marshall Gunnell/IDG
What happens after the gift was sent?
After you’ve finished receiving the purchase, the winner received an email to notify them of receiving a gift. They receive the link they need to access to redeem the gift. The recipient has 30 days to redeem the gift. If the gift hasn’t been redeemed within the allocated time limit, the purchaser will receive the full refund. You can check the status of the gift by going to the Steam catalogue.
