Variety claims that the show will star Hilary Duff as Sophie, who tells her son a story of how she met his father. The show will back up to the present day when Sophie and her friends are in the midst of discovering who they are and what they want out of life. The show is set in Brooklyn, but it’s on a virtual set, the Infinity on Disney’s lot in Burbank, CA. The plan to spin offHow I met your mother has been working for over a few years. The transformation in lead writers has delayed the project, but the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly been the most significant. Duff said the show would come into the original sitcom, and she’s hoping to see guest stars from this series appear. Duff has been wrapping up her book Younger for seven seasons on TV Land before going to conclude in this year’s final meeting. Recently she was writing a reboot of Lizzie McGuire’s Disney Channel series, but she ended the show because of her creative divergences with Disney in her 30s. Along with Duff, the cast will include Kim Cattrall, Chris Lowell, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, Francia Raisa and Suraj Sharma. We got to hear from you at The Nerd Stashwant.
