For those who don’t know, Meteor Lake is the name of the next generation Intels battery core. Intels current CPUs are a part of Raptor Lake generation. That will stop Intel’s update of Meteor Lakes, but if the rumors were to be believed. It’s supposedly due to the speed of the clock falling behind Raptor Lake. This wouldn’t fit well for next generation of vehicles. However, Meteor Lake remains apparently on the way to mobile platforms. A second time ago, Intel CPUs could look a bit strange. MTL-S seems maybe cancelled. Raichu (@OneRaichu) December 23, 2022. In a leaked roadmap shared by @9550pro on Twitter, Intel plans on using Raptor Lake S CPUs, giving increased clock speeds and improved power delivery. If that does, it should be a good upgrade. The Intel Core i9-13900K is a formidable gaming CPU. The development of Intel’s GPUs is a big plus for the CPU. Unfortunately, there is no doubt Intel can take up with AMD if Meteor Lake has been canceled for desktops.
Is Intel in contention with AMD?
The real question here is whether Intels can compete against the principal competitor. AMDs Zen 3 X3D CPUs can bring a lot of hardware and hardware, which is expected to make the table competitive. And even if a refresh of Raptor Lake is pretty, it won’t likely be enough to shake things up. One of the fastest-growing processors is Arrow Lake. But that leaves that for an entire year for AMD to take the lead. There might be anything in the way, but as with the Raptor Lake refresh, there may be some major changes. But is it that Meteor Lakes supposed cancellation might have put Intel in a strange situation?
