According to James Gunn, the HBO Max series hasn’t been cancelled yet. James Gunn has taken over over on Twitter to tell the rumors. The CEO of DC Studios responded to a deleted tweet saying that “John Stewart has been cancelled in Green Lantern series! I think this because James has bigger plans for the Lanterns.” The deleted tweet lists insider Daniel Richtman as the source of the information. Fake. James Gunn (@JamesGunn) December 26, 2022. The tweet follows the reports that serial showrunner Seth Grahame-Smith and Jeremy Irvine and Finn Wittrock have left the show. Both Irvine and Wittrock were made up of Alan Scott and Guy Gardner. In October this year, the series focused only on John Stewart, one of the longest-serving green Lanterns in the United States. The Green Lantern series began in 2019 with the lead of the Arrow showrunner Greg Berlanti. Berlanti wrote the script for the 2011 Green Lantern movie with Ryan Reynolds. When the show was announced, it was described as the “biggest DC show” ever, with an estimated budget spanning nearly 120 million dollars. After the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery, the budget was reportedly lowered substantially. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the budget for the show’s progress is expected to be significantly less, as HBO Max, under David Zaslavs combined Warner Bros. Discovery, is focusing on correct-sizing its various assets. The next HBO series will focus on John Stewart as the Green Lantern versus multiple Lantern Corp members. The slashed budget has led Berlanti to make up the series that focus only on John Stewart, rather than on multiple Green Lantern members. No actor was associated to Stewart’s role as a writer. It is still possible for people of Green Lantern fans to take a look at a resurgence now that James Gunn has allayed about the disappearance of the show. It may take a while to download the original movie The Green Lantern.
The future of the DC Universe
The Green Lantern series may take a while as the showrunners were forced to redevelop the show after the budget cuts. These are interesting times in DC Studios, as James Gunn and Peter Safran plan on presenting their ten-year plans for the DC Universe in the new year. DC has been shaking up after reports that important actors will not make up the new DC Universe. Henry Cavill won’t return to work as a football player. Both Gunn and Cavill confirmed the news that long-time Superman actors have spent more time with DC. Gunn recently said that the role will be recast to a younger actor and that story will focus on the start of Clark Kent’s career as a reporter for Daily Planet. There are also speculation that Jason Momoa will go to the next meeting as Aquaman in the new Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. There is rumors that the Aquaman star will take over the role of Lobo in the DCU. Do you know that Dwayne Johnson will not be returning as Black Adam? Johnson just recently released himself as a champion in the DC Universe. The production costs shifted because of a 2 o’clock demand. The fate of Gal Gadots Wonder Woman and Ezra Millers The Flash are still unknown at this point. Wonder Woman 3, in its current form, has been canceled. Millers returns as The Flash is very unlikely because the actors have recently lost their court case.
