For those unfamiliar with the Marvel Future Revolutions Magik story, she’s a mutant, which, unsurprisingly means, is included in the X-Men franchise. She’s actually part of The New Mutants cast, a film made of that name starring Anya Talor-Joy in a 2020 movie. Although the origin of New Mutants traces back to the comic series in the early 1980s, Illyana Nikolaievna Rasputina isn’t part of that cast. Now that we’re officially ready for the Marvel Future Revolution Magik release date, we can look at what we can expect from the Russian mutant. Her weapon is the sword: a giant blade made out of half of the soul. This blade can generate immense power, and thus it can cast powerful dark magic, as well as power to summon hydras, imps and hounds as the rule of Limbo has its charm. Magik can teleport with her stepping discs abilities and transform into Darkchylde, which is, as you might guess, her darker half.

Magik got to play her role as part of the latest Avengers Future Revolution update. She isn’t the only thing she would ever ever get to play.
