A teaser that appeared during Season 2 credits of The Witcher shows a pair of Michelle Yeoh, Sophia Brown and Laurence O’Fuarain swinging swords and throwing fists in a rugged fantasy world. Just remember. Jodie Turner-Smith, originally cast as the elite warrior named Eile, had to withdraw due to an unforeseen crisis. She was replaced by Brown. Where was Georgia’s stoic face, you wonder? The Witcher: Blood Origin is set at about an hour from the start of the witcher’s murder. Before it is a connived swindle, the cosmic collusion that brought monsters and magic into an otherwise relatively mundane world. Think of that as witching: Old Republic, if you want. Naturally, witchers didn’t exist in the era, but they aren’t too far away: The YouTube blurb says Blood Origin will dig into the developments that led to the Conjunction of the Spheres and the creation of the first prototype witcher. There’s nothing that that there is in that teaser, which consists mostly of panoramic views, meaningful looks and flashing steel, but a little a few years ago, the whole thing is that he isn’t really a big fan of Netflix. I wonder whether Blood Origin will resonate with fans like that original story will. The witcher benefited from curiosity regarding the phenomenal videogame series and the deep yet completely unknown fantasy world created by The Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, not to mention the pop culture impact of Game of Thrones, which demonstrated that dragons and drama can be extremely lucrative. The Witcher: Blood Origin doesn’t have anything to do with it: it exists only to squeeze more juice from the lemon. This is not for sure that it would be niceI hope it was,and it’s very possible that I underestimate the interest in the show that was so well run away. After all, my first glance at this guy, under the direction of Geralt, spawned immediate predictions of gloom and doom which, I’m happy to say, were far off base. We’ll soon find out the book Witcher: Blood Origin. It’s going to come out in 2022.
