The disastrous launch of GTA Trilogy came from a concerted campaign from Take-Two to extract the internet of the mods related to the 3rd GTA or the 3rd GTA ruins. Take-Two even sued some of the people who have reversed the GTA code. But that hasn’t put off some modders who have tried to remedy some of the GTA Trilogy’s numerous errors. The recently created GTATrilogyMods subreddit has already more than 1000 members. There, a strong discussion on nitty gritty bikini and GTA Trilogy have begun – and the early results are promising. Modders are trying to test out how to enable first-person mode in the remasters. There is also modding discussion at the GTAForums, where mods are being shared. Moddb.com has a page for GTA Trilogy, and there are a few mods available for download. One mod makes the GTA Trilogy look like a Telltale game with even more cartoonish graphics. Another adds to the original GTA 3 menu sounds. Modders are also adding track missing from the remasters. It’s an initial fix for the much-maligned rain that was due to GTA Trilogy. Image credit GTATrilogyMods on Patreon. All this mod work is underway under the shadow of potential action by Take-Two, who has proved eager to strike anywhere and wherever it feels possible. Over the weekend, it emerged that Take-Two recently targeted GTA 4 – and even a GTA 4 save file. Dedicated and experienced GTA modder Junior Jjjr took the comments on the video below while expressing their commitment to the cause. Responding to one viewer who thought modders had quit GTA because they had been treated, Junior_Djjr replied: “It was surprising how they had told me they’d quit the scene”, adding that he thought that modders were leaving the scene, so he stepped up and said they had been unable to do so. “I am in such a situation, but my entire community is very excited about that new modding, and it’s very satisfying to create a modding from scratch (our community pioneered the modding for this game), and show that to Rockstar/GSG/T2 fans better, show what we really want for the game, the IDEA becomes more important. I help with a modding for these reasons, but I don’t want to focus. If I start a big project, it’ll be on the classic game, for several reasons. Rockstar said that he was sorry for a launch debacle in GTA Trilogy but it was said that he’d work to improve and maintain performance as soon as we moved on. The question is: will modders get to the first place? If they do, will take-Two let them go?
