Universal Studios Japan has been an active partner for the series Hunters, starting with the first event which began in 2010 with the Super Smashes. Since the advent of Monster Hunter Rise, this is the first time the amusement park has been working together. Notably, Universal Studios Japan has hosted various Monster Hunter-themed attractions over the years, often with exclusive in-game cosmetics as incentives. These include the Star Knights Armor set fromMonster Hunter 4U and the Azure Star rifle and armor set in Monster Hunter World. As long as the upcoming collaboration continues, it will also feature a new armor or weapons set. In October, Capcom also announced that a World VR-inspired attraction will be presented at Universal Studios Japan. In recent years the amusement park has partnered with other major gaming companies such as Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. It also plans on adding a Donkey Kong area to its new Super Nintendo World area sometime in 2024. Monster Hunter Rise is now available on Nintendo Switch. The PC version will go on January 12, 2022. The upcoming Sunbreak expansion is expected to play for PC and Nintendo Switch in Summer 2022.
