What is the public test realm of New Worlds?
New Worlds Public Test Realm is a limited availability server. It will allow players to jump in and try some new products that aren’t quite ready for release. The PTR is designed to allow players to get hands on new features early and give developers feedback on how they can now be included in the full release. It is important to note that after the feature release is released in the main version of New World, the PTR servers will be shut pending a future test announcement from the developers. The New World Public Test Realm (TPR) will live on Wednesday, November 10th, 2021, at 12 noon PT / 3:00 ET / 8:00 GMT. Players should find that they can download the public test realm on Steam, but who can never access the servers until they return to work to the moment mentioned above. How do you download and play games?
The public test version of New World, as mentioned previously, should now be available in your Steam library if you own a copy of New World. All players have to do is download the new PTR from their Steam library and hit play once the server goes live. This will then boot New World as normal, but with limited servers. On these servers, users can play with new features, that are still in testing. If you decide that a PTR isn’t for you, please close the application and copy the original version to get back to normal. If you want more details or if you have a bug, go to the PTR Subforum.
