Nintendo Switch tops the NPD sales chart.
The NPD Group is monitoring software sales in the United States. Nintendo has stood on top of the NPD sales chart in 35 out of the last 36 months, including a recently-snapped 33-month streak. Nintendo was back in November (the total of units and dollar amount) with 550,000 Switch consoles sold during Black Friday week alone. Here is what President Doug Bowser had to say about the achievement: “The Nintendo of America team is doing well.” With a wide-resolution library of games and three choices to choose from by Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch OLED Model, the Nintendo Switch family of systems offers something for everyone this holiday season. As we head to 2022 and the sixth year of Nintendo Switch, the system continues to get very high demand. We hope to make even more people switch Nintendo Switch to their household. While Pokemon is certainly the biggest gamer, Nintendo has several other important releasees that helped Switch earn NPD sales sales. Metroid Dread has reached a critical acclaim and opened its first month of sales in October. Mario Party Superstars, a second release of October, looks to be off to a good start, too. But the Y-Y-Moole model is an exciting, new hardware that will drive sales as well. (Source)
