The livestreaming platform has a free 32-bit app for the Switch, and you can download it here at the Nintendo eShop. You can watch video, video and read content on your Switch without losing support and transferring your writ. There’s also a caveat at chat. Instead of a stream and chat simultaneously on your Switch, Twitch relegates all the chat features to mobile companions.

When you click on a creators channel, you’ll see an overview page. On this page, you can read the channel and stream, follow the channel, go to the creators profile or report this stream. You can also hear the conversation on the right side of the page. To join the chat, click on the link Join the conversation. Next, scan the QR code using your mobile phone and send it to your companion. While you’re doing your companion’s work, you can use your phone to read and type messages in chat while watching the stream on your Nintendo Switch.

With other words, there’s something to give and take, and it’s been a long time, but the Switch has Twitch. Even without feature equality, I want to see that the app will be used in a situation like where people have a Switch handy, but not necessarily other devices or screens. The console also has YouTube, Hulu, Funimation, and Pokemon TV. So yeah, there’s still no Netflix.
