It was not revealed whether the GeForce RTX 2050 is based on Turing or Ampere, so there’s a little confusion around the architecture. Due to the model name, the GeForce RTX 2050 would likely base on Turing architecture. However, the picture from Nvidia’s blog post has ‘Ampere’ in the name of the file. Until Nvidia clears up the confusion, it could be the opposite. If I don’t believe a person to be nice here, we do not need to worry. And, how could a Turing graphics card do in 2022? The software company recently had TSMC fire up the foundry’s 1.8ft stainless steel grill to produce the GeForce RTX 2060. The chip maker would take the opportunity to cook up some mobile offerings such as the GeForce RTX 2050. On the flipside, there were rumors that Nvidia is preparing a GA107 die for entry-level Ampere SKUs. If that’s the case, the silicon will probably be used across the GeForce RTX 2050, MX570 and MX550 with different SM configurations.

On the GeForce RTX 2050, 4GB GDDR6 has a 14 gbps memory. The GeForce RTX 2050 can deliver a maximal memory bandwidth up to 112 GBps. However, the GeForce MX550 will replace the GeForce MX450 in direct attempt, whereas the GeForce MX570 looks like a new SKU. Given that the MX450 is built on a Turing architecture, the GeForce MX570 and MX550 should utilize the new Ampere architecture. The products on the product pages show both entry-level graphics cards with PCIe 4.0 support, so they should be based on Ampere. First, Nvidia didn’t delve into the details of the GeForce MX570 and MX550. The chipmaker reacted that the duo sport “more power-efficient CUDA cores and faster memory speeds than previous MX GPUs.” The chip maker claims that the GeForce MX570 and MX550 will give the industry a step of performance and efficiency in photo and video editing such as Adobe Lightroom and Premiere Pro, and better gaming amongst integrated graphics.
