According to 9to5Googles digging into Android 12L beta in Google’s Pixel systokes, Google is looking for a return of Face Unlock to its smartphone line. This code mentions the use of face or fingerprint authentication, which would be a first for a Google handset. A deep dive into the APK shows references to a face authentication feature for the Pixel 6 that Google considers experimental. To be fair, it’s not clear whether this feature will launch with Android 12L or if it’s not available for the Pixel 6 Pro....
