Five console cover variants have been announced. Midnight Black and Cosmic Red share identical names and color schemes, and are coming to the utmost point in the 2022 season, wrote PlayStation. The company stated that the three new DualSense variants Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple, will also be released in the same month. For a second, the covers for Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple will only be coming. PlayStation said that it plans to launch these variants in 2022, but didn’t share other details. The list on PlayStation Direct indicates that the console covers will cost 54,99 $. Replacement HP5 facesplates have become a highly-requested item since the PS5 came a long time ago, allowing third-party companies to market them in many colors. Although Sony previously threatened to pursue these groups in court, they could effectively stop PS5 customization until that the official solution was available. This announcement follows news of an recently-discovered patent filed by Sony in November, that was for upcoming PS5 variants.
