This event marks the first time in the game that Shiny Hoothoot is available. During the event lucky players will meet the Shiny New Year’s Hathoothoot, and the traditional Shiny will be obtainable after the event. While Slowking seems to know what year’s coming, other members of its evolutionary line remain relatively slow. Pokemon Go keeps its slowpoke New Year’s gag going with the return of 2020 Glasses Slowpoke as well as 2021 Glasses Slowbro. Other new, costumed Pokemon include:
Party Hat Bulbasaur, Party Hat. Party head in a nicer way. Party Hat Squirtle. Party Hat Raticate. Party Hat Nidorino! New Year’s hat pichu! New Year’s Hat Pikachu. Hat Raichu is New Year’s Eve. Party Hat Gengar. Party’s gang hog throwing. Party Hat Wobuffet!
Several of these costumed Pokemon are playing the game One-Star and Three-Star Raids, while a few of these are hatching from 7km eggs. You will have no shortage of opportunities to obtain them. The game’s store also offered theme avatars, including 2022 Glasses, a New Year’s Headband, a Jacket Set, a Pants and Shoes. This store will also have new stickers that match the New Year’s theme. Players that don’t want to spend their hard-earned coins can get slapped on them by spinning PokeStops or opening gifts from friends. All in all, the game is going to have a huge advantage to celebrate this holiday. Pokemon Go is available now on iOS and Android devices. Take a look at our earlier report on the game here.
