Serebii shared the information that was posted to the site. While the four new Pokemon are likely to play unusual combinations, Joe Merrick points out that the four, together with the Pikachu and Eevee, are now the mascots for a monpoke line of merchandise which is available in Japan. The merchandise is intended to young children, offering cute bibs, clothing, plush toys, tableware, chairs and lots more. There’s no merchandise currently offered in North America. However, the Pokemon fans with younger kids may have the chance to get involved with these young children. On the right hand-hand side of this page, one can read more information. Due to the fact that both Pokemon Smile and monpoke target the younger fans of Pokemon, these new Pokemon additions make much sense! The designs used for Pokemon Smile are similar to those used in the new merchandise. Hence, the connection works perfectly. It will be interesting to see whether this update leads to more Pokemon Smile or if this is just an opportunity for the game. Up to a year is a long time wait, but not all of the Pokemon remains in the mobile title. That’ll be enough to keep kids busy for quite a while. Do you play Pokemon with your kids? Can you please update the application?
