The hospital confirmed that Kandas died on December 18, 2021, after a police investigation found the actress’ body. According to Hokkaido police, concerned acquaintances of Kanda reported that she was missing on the 18th. Kanda was staying in a 22-floor hotel room in the Hokkaido prefecture. After checking the surrounding area, police located body of Kandas in the hotels in the second floor of the complex. Police have said they ruled out foul play, and are currently looking at the matter as a suicide. Sayaka Kanda was born on October 1, 1986 to Saiko Matsuda, a Japanese singer and actor. She played Junko Enoshima in the Danganronpa stage apocalypse from 2014 to 2018. De plus, Kanda played Mukuro Ikusaba in the same stage play series. Later, Kanda pronounced Kaede Akamatsu in Danganronpa V3. Kanda did the opening theme for the Atelier Ryza, Rainbow Summer. After her career as a stage actor and singer-songwriter, Kanda voiced several anime and movies. Notably, Anna was the voice of the Japanese dwindling Disneys Frozen in 2013.
