Nelson joined G2 Esports last season as a new strategic coach of the European organisation. G2 was aiming to achieve everything, with Martin Rekkles Larsson signing to try in all possible terms to achieve a better goal. After a clear opportunity to be a winner of the World Championship that they had been looking for so long, the teams wanted to be a clear winner. Eventually they came out of the competition to win the trophy. The season was quite poor given the team’s expectations. Their victory was the only victory of World Championships and they were defeated 3-2 by Fnatic, and placed fourth in the LEC standings. In the year ended the year of the offseason, G2 made official the departure of players and coaches, among them Nelson, who apparently found his new home in the United Kingdom organization. Nelson has long been a coach in the international league of legends. He was in various regions, such as the LMS as a coach of HK Attitude, coached Vivo Keyd in Brazil, and coached Esports in 2019. Excel tied Astralis to seventh place with a 7-11 record. This puts them just outside the final corner for the LEC summer volleyball playoffs. It helped Excel grow its strength during this offseason by adding the Finn Finn Wiestal to their toplaner and Nelson. Excel will continue to compete with Mark Markoon van Woense and Henk Advienne Reijenga, who went crazy in the year 2021.
