Play Video Yes, its the end of a long journey to Team Spiritfarer. Since the book was closed for the foreseeable future, today we added the Farewell Edition subtitle to Spiritfarer. It is a win lap in such an unusual way for a game with which we would never dream of being accepted by one-million players and counting. I want to tell you a little more about our visit. We felt sore and swarm of frustration and despair in the air as we prepared ourselves for our project Spiritfarer, our favorite management game about death. I didn’t have the time to mention that the results were good. However, the emails, letters and messages that were touching and very heartfelt were particularly surprising. Words of gratitude. Gratitude for how Spiritfarer influenced him to feel, think or behave. For the role it played in a healing effort wrought by the pandemic. And so long as it rekindled their passion for their jobs as health professionals, or their caregivers. All that was just a heartache. Clearly, fans were always connected to the game. And as the team was quite pleased with the original Spiritfarer version as well, we knew there was still more we still need to do. As we examined all the details, we showed how it was possible for the game to begin, we realized that we had a lot of stories to tell in this world. We wanted to make sure we told Stellas’ story appropriately. We didn’t want to leave the players tossing up on what exactly happened in the story, and after our first content update, we added Lily, Stellas sister, to help in arranging the story with a little work, and close the main story loop. Next, we turned to the characters we already knew intimately, that we were not born when we started, but yet couldn’t play the original game. They wait so long that they would know their stories were written and told. Hence, were born Beverly, the rabid-looking owl spirit we received from our summer update. What will you expect today’s update? Stella heads on to Overbrook Island. There’s a lot of problem at a dilapidated local hospital. Stella will first take his own life. Jackie, a well-meaning, dispirited lug, is overwhelmed with all that has to be done to keep the facility running. Stella will help with the hospital’s new resources, and also make a sense of the mysterious Charon Vending Machine’s magic. Stella has also met and meets Daria, a batty-minded patient of the facility, and especially a disfigured patient. As the story unfolds, Daria begins to play a big role in Overbrook, shell spurs Stella into completing an all-new rhythmic platforming challenge in a kaleidoscopic level seemingly conjured straight from Darias unagitated mind. Ultimately, the players will be thrilled to learn that the Jackie & Daria Update plays out the evergreen Spiritfarer ethos of caretaking and saying goodbye. All new friends introduced here are still coming, once Stella has done her faring duties. But for the art team was especially important that the protagonists of world-affecting kindness be communicated visually in the final update. At Overbrook, Stellas passage transforms the island with its buildings with color and life, as is seen in the above-reviewed concept. I’m very proud of what the team achieved in the building of a new series of updates, culminating in today’s launch. I don’t know how grateful I am to the team, the public, and everyone involved in making Spiritfarer what it is today. Now it is time to give goodbye to this world, so rest and remember it as the bittersweet beacon of love we had hoped it would be, and how much more that became. Thank you all and Good luck.
