Below you can hear a lot from the early-days of the original game, who share their understanding of what made the first game such a huge hit, and some of what they have planned for the remake and implementing it on the other side. The remake marks the first major release of Splinter Cell since Blacklist in 2013, and although it may not be the sequel that fans long been asking for, it’s a positive sign for the new series. In spite of the pressure that hardcore fanbase forced them to do so, Ubisoft has always been reluctant to revisit Splinter Cell, but only cameo-like games like Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six Siege fill the void. There’s no word yet on a launch window, but given that the game is in progress it’s still unclear if the game will make its debut in 2022. In related news, Ubisoft is also working on a Splinter Cell VR game, which was originally announced in September of 2020, but of which not much has been spoken since.
