The iconic bioshock was a spiritual successor to system Shock and its sequel. But it’s no wonder that many players were calling out for a modern remake if they knew the original’s cult classic status. Come into Nightdive Studios, where mission is to take the lost and forgotten games back from the depths. The Portland studio began a Kickstarter in July 2016 to build a system Shock Remastering project. Despite this, the project was completely overdue, thus explains the long-term impact of development. But now the project seems to be back on track, and the developers say that the remaster will soon be able to start some time next year. This gives Nightdive a little space, given that the developer had previously announced that the remaster would debut in summer 2021. This date has gone, of course. The studio addressed this with a note to their Kickstarter supporters: “I know there have been some confusion and announcements that is an unfortunate reality of making games, but I can assure you that System Shock is on the way.” A note discussed, among other things, some “important news”, and maybe the announcement that the game will essentially see the light of day in 2022 is already in the news. En outre, Nightdive has said that the system scan remake is to be published by Koch Media’s Prime Matter, which is the studio’s first outside publishing deal. There’s also a new batch of screenshots to see. Nightdive Studios’ System Shock will come next year, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox One.
