It’s better to think of Code Fairy as a way for B.B. Studios to expand its Battle OperationEngine beyond its original focus on online multiplayer. In a sense, it’s like the combat-action in which a new game has been played, although the game is also sold separately. By definition,Code Fairy is single-player only, although linking save data from GBO 2 will unlock different goodies in both games (such asCode Fairy mobiles in GMO 2). There’s no need to worry about events, daily logins or any of today’s live-service books’ free to play fluff. The final five missions, a simulation scenario if you want to practise or grind out additional rewards. Being a core to the experience, the foundation of The Goldsmiths is a solid narrative. It’s not like a group player despite the majority of multiplayer-first action games in the future, but rather a group game will do what’s needed to get people to access your network. If anything, the Code Fairy campaign’s old era of Gundamtitles recalls the likes of Journey to Jaburo, Lost War Chronicles, and “Sunspread the Cross”, or “Gundams, Dispensed Links.” Like those games, it becomes clear to the extent of the Old War as a Shadow. His mobile side, if there’s one Gundam game that Code Fairy resembles, the Gundam chopping tower. Code is not only based on the characteristics of Zeon, but also on unit and events, except from the Epoche, itself. The story follows the exploits of Alma Stirner, a Zeon pilot newly assigned to the North American front, and Noisy Fairy, the first all-female mobile suit squad. Along with fellow teammates Mia Brinkman and Helena Hegel, Alma orders the Commander of Noisy Fairys, former ace pilot Killy Garrett. Together they train, grow and become fearsome assets to Zeon during the One Year War. Even the earliest events of the One Year War reinforce the story’s background and body. Even though everyone’s mission is dedicated to the special, relatively small theatre of Noisy Fairys operation area, big events such as the Operation Odessa and the death of Garma Zabi provide an additional boost to the universe’s progress. You will never be surprised how Zeon forces went to fight for a little longer after the critical loss of Odessas mining operations. Code Fairy teaches us this squad played a big part in making that happen. Gundam Code Fairyis was structured like a series of anime characters, but then become a manga-like figure. Each mission begins with the anime sequence, with the second episode being directed towards the beginning. Hand-animated sequences inspire each mission by adding to the storyline. Even the way that characters are rendered in the in-engine cutscenes has been changed to be more anime-like compared to the NPC in Battalion II. Similar to Sakura Wars, the game is very light-hearted, tonally speaking. Although these girls are most definitely a military warrior who lost part of an war thats killed half of humanity in less than one year, there is still time to throw a Halloween party or to blame for mandatory physical training. Players and gundamfans looking for a gritty war story could be disappointed that Code Fairy is closer to Valkyria than to War in the Pocket. The lack of narrative and character holds up the weaker portion of the Gundam Code Fairy, which is the mission design. AlthoughGundam is pretty solid in the game, that base is built on the foundation of multiplayer practice. That means, despite the desire to provide varied and interesting objectives, the mechanics are never always productive. In one mission, I wanted to force the enemy into a set of nebulous traps. However, after the mission ended, the enemy forces acted like AI robots in a simulation match, and they didn’t behave as a logical fit for the task. However, combat is strong from time to time. With a wide range of weapons, no matter how large or small the suit is, and the bending of thruster cooldowns, reloading, and various aiming stances give the game fairy a simulation-style edge. This can slow down, rather than methodically, in comparison to high-speed chaos of the Gundam-VS games, or the games’ arcade-driven action. It can even get surprisingly difficult, because your Zeon-model mobile suits often have a disadvantage when it comes to the resistance of beam-powered FDP or even taking on a fully armedGundam unit. Mobile Suits Gundam Code Fairy feels like the rebirth of the most beloved era of a single-player, narrative-focused Gundam. If future efforts for this line give same attention and respect, then basing it on a sloppy version of a multiplayer-led engine likeGBO 2s was a huge move. All three parts of Gundam Code Fairy can be bought by PS4 and PS5.
