According to recent reports, the 23-year-old already has an interest from overseas teams in the LCS and close to home in the LCK. At least two LCS teams are likely to sign the player ahead of the competitive season 2022. Teddy was left to sit on the bench during the final stages of 2021 after T1 promoted young and the upcoming ADC Lee Gumayusi Min-hyeong to the teams starting lineup. Through sharing the role all year, T1 was inevitably giving Gumayusi faith at Worlds 2021 in Iceland in October and November. The team finished their run in the semifinals of the tournament with a close loss of 3-2 to regional rivals DWG KIA. Teddy enjoyed a pretty long and prosperous career with T1, winning three LCK titles and winning Worlds semifinal in 2019. Joe Marsh, President of T1 commented on Teddy’s disappearance from the team. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right thing for Teddy to be able to continue his career and have the chance to find a team for him, he told social media.
