Hitcents and Necrosoft Games announced their arcade game Hyper Gunsport, part volleyball and part gunplay. The game was a part of the Future of Play event leading to the Game Awards. The study experiment was undertaken: How could you play the gun without violence in action? And an arcade-seater was born. There is a scenario where humans have become tired of conflict, and weapons are prohibited in the future. The Worlds game: Gunsport solves disputes between countries now. Now we only have guns for one thing. To put a ball in goal. The game has the same speed and precision as the dramatic beatings of the run and gun or action shooter, but is also anti-violent. This is a niche that very few games have tackled. So let’s hope you find it interesting. It is ultimately about a ball to convert into a goal. The opponents try to do the same thing. Keepers not move, but can fire more frequently (in the opinion of players newer players but with the potential to take the lead on offense). Strikers can move and jump, but not fire often (for novice players who want to slam the ball home). Their teammates collaborate to save their ball, while in keeping the opposing teams goals. When the ball crosses the net in either direction, its worth one additional point leads to high-stakes games. When both teammates hit the ball at the same time, a focus shot occurs, and the ball is a double hit. When their special gauges fill up, teams get a chance to use special assaults, but only with limited shots. Hyper Gunsport is built in two multiplayer modes, one game or two, with AI to supplement when there are no real-life players available. A story mode has cutscenes from beginning and end of an eight-round tournament. Each team is unique. There are 7 teams with unique weapons, and 7 stages with unique gimmicks.
