Nobumoto was born in Japan on March 13, 1964 on the island of Hokkaido. She worked as a nurse for many years before becoming a director of animation. Nobumoto started writing after winning the Young Screenplay Prize for Fuji TV in 1989. Tobe is her work around this time. Kujira No-peek, World-Apartment Horror and Hiroshima Ni Ichiban Densha Ga Hashita. The Cowboy’s Bebop is timeless because they’re poor. Nobumoto started working on Macross Plus in 1994 with Watanabe. The two would work together over the course of the next decade. Nobumoto was in charge of rehearsing of series composition in 1998, when the Cowboy Bebop production began. She wrote nine songs for The Original Folk Blues, including Asteroid Blues, My Funny Valentine, Jupiter Jazz and The Real Folk Blues. Before her work with Sato, Cowboy Bebop also was the first time she worked with him. Wolf’s Rain was created by Nobumoto in 2003. She wrote the show 9 episodes while Sato was seven. Nobumoto collaborated with Satoshi Kon for the production of Tokyo godfathers now. She also directed Kingdom Hearts writing in 2002 and received thanks from the local community for her work about Kingdom Hearts II a couple of years later. Nobumoto continued working with Sato and Watanabe; he produced Samurai Champloo in 2004. She kept on writing for a short while before moving on Space Dandy again in 2014. She was the last to publish her last project, Carole & Tuesday, which was released in 2019. Nobumoto retired from his home in Hokkaido, where she died in 2020 and was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. After a long battle in 2021, she succumbed to the disease.
