We don’t want to punish other platforms, like I thought that all platforms could continue to grow,” stated Spencer in his interview with SG in regards to the new Elder Scroll title, a large-ranging interview with the Xbox. “But I want to buy a full package of what we are doing on Xbox. And that would really be true if I thought about Elder Scrolls VI. When I think about any of our franchises, I’ll be very happy. Now, that isn’t Spender coming out saying that the Elder Scrolls VI is exclusive to Xbox consoles, but still doesn’t seem like good news to PlayStation fans. The fact that Starfield is the only player on Xbox or PC, is that a new IP does exist, and the only way to establish that was, is it? There’s certainly precedent for first-party games coming to other consoles, of course, especially if the developers were acquired after the facts. Minecraft hasn’t risen and disappeared from PlayStation despite the acquisition years ago. However, one can expect to ask for a big-budget and do nothing to ask for from this Xbox. Deathloopmight have escaped the exclusivity requirement due to existing contractual obligations, but it seems like the rest of Bethesda’s titles will not get the same treatment. The Elder Scrolls VI, which is as mentioned above, isn’t fully reported but there is no official information about it yet.
