“You know, it’s great to have celebrities, it’s great to have music, but I think it’s important to concentrate on games,” said Keighley. It’s only the games and the trailers that drive the show that we learned last year. The world of traditional entertainment still takes on its new start, but the more it is such that video games become unrivaled, like television or a movie, to emulate or recreate a video game. Actually, Keighley said new categories may need to be added to the awards: “We could possibly add a best adaptation category to The Game Awards next year”. This is a great departure from the show’s format, in which last year, a hardcore gamer, Christopher Nolan, as well as a movie director present the Game of the Year award. Keighley said that the show’s going to be the annual show of 40 to 50 games, but this year’s number of new games is likely to be double digits. While Keighley couldn’t provide the details of what will be shown, he said that the show will have some next-gen content. “I still feel like we’ve only got a little bit of the surface of what is possible on the PS5 and Xbox Series X, so I think you will see some really beautiful stuff,” he said. There’s a screen of games that remind people of the best of this industry that’s still going to come. Keighley said that he sees potential in expanding the show as the main brand for the latest industry and applying the latest buzzword to the metaverse. “It’s really interesting to see the metaverse style of things people watch the show,” says he. “We’re starting to explore the idea of looking new ways to distribute it using games and game technologies. That’s actually our next platform, right? Our show is about video games. However, we should be airing it in video games if we can. We can trust you in Keighley saying that I don’t know what that is. “We’re not doing any NFT stuff,” said a reporter. The game awards will be held on the 10th December at noon.
