While WB Games and NetherRealm Studios don’t show why Denuvo has been removed from the game, it might have something to do with Intel’s new Alder Lake CPUs, which have compatibility issues with Denuvo. As DSO Gaming tells us, there isn’t a very nice explanation. Recent improvements have been made in older games removing Denuvo, so it seems to be due to the already mentioned CPUs. For those that don’t know why this is so much for some PC players, it’s because Denuvo has a relatively famous reputation for its impact on games. On many games, its impact isn’t real, but often it’s only fixed to things like the initial loading time. In recent years the technology has a larger and more noticeable impact on the game’s general performance. I’ll be sure to update the story when and when I learn more about the situation.
