Who would have guessed that one of the most exciting video game consoles ever made would be one of the least exciting? While Microsoft spent the year making Xbox Game Pass a must-have subscription service and Nintendo launched a new Switch, Sonys focus was putting out impressive video games and trying to make sure everyone who wanted a PS5 could get one. In spite of that ambitious plan’s second part doesn’t finally reach fruit yet, there’s no doubt PS5 saw some great games this year, with the use of the alien spaceship-looking console as a full-featured entertainment device. It’s okay. That’s exactly what people buy gaming consoles to play. There are just the Xbox series of X/S released great games in 2021 and many more, which can be played for free on day one or on day one, with a modest subscription fee. Even though the Xbox One went out of the X/S, but with an updated operating system and proven features, the PS5 started again with a new operating system. The PS5 users still want themes and game folders, feature features Sony has already added years ago. I’m sure that the PlayStation 5 is going to win. But it is pretty clear that this year will be on a lighter note.

The good games are really good.

With the launch-day release of Astros Playroom, Demons Souls remaster, and Marvels Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the PS5 popped up with a strong roster of exclusive games, especially compared to the Xbox X/S, which launched without any exclusives. But it was 2020. That is 2021, which started a bit slow in terms of first-party Sony exclusives. Most of the PS5 games released in the first quarter of this year were either multiplatform or next-gen updates for PS4. The sequel to the 1984 DVD of the movie The All Stars exploded in the 1950s. The year isn’t the most interesting start. Things started to heat up for first-party games in the upcoming month of April. First comes the release of MLB the Show 21 for the first time since the second ever franchise history released by Xbox. Now that it has been released on Xbox One. The historical cross-console release was because of an agreement made between Sony and major league baseball back in 2019 and not a feel-good cooperation agenda between the two console makers. The show 21 is cute, but the best game of the year was played late in April. Housemarques roguelike Returnal was the first big PS5 hit of 2021, and for reason. One can’t seem to imagine the aliens as much as one does. A third-person shooter feels like something totally new. Even people who fail to win like this (its me) felt returnals were irresistible draw. May brought a handful of high-profile third-party games, including Resident Evil Village and an outstanding version of Square Enixs MMO darling, Final Fantasy XIV. However, the new grand premier-party PS5 exclusive wouldn’t come out until June 11. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart may not have brought anything new to Insomniacs beloved franchise. The story was basically a rehash of the original original Ratchet and Clank with two new characters. What that game is does is showcase PS5s power in a flawless fashion, filling the screen with particles and objects, while Pixar-quality characters do not snuff at something. All the tidal moves, with the button. In rapid succession, moving between tall-detailed nations, in rapid succession. Whats very awesome about the PS5? It could be found on the PS5 of Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Tsushima, and Death-ending and ghost of two beautiful games. These two re-releases were Sony’s final first-party offerings in 2021, who were released in August and September respectively. Sony has all of this year big third party releases, which are one of the most shiny new phones on the market. That includes the console, the upcoming deathloop, and the Super-X-Box’s surprise hit Guardians of the Galaxy, and Hades. As long as in July is revealed that independent developers are not able to work with Sony as opposed to Microsoft and Nintendo, but it managed to score its share in cinematic games in 2021. There are, of course, the previously mentioned Hades from Supergiant, and the lovely Chicory: a very colorful story. The sequel to the film’s name is “French of Spirit”.

Blues are the Chips who are short of their length.

The only other two games released this year and the PlayStation 4 back catalogue did not hinder anyone finding great games in 2021. The task was much easier to set up a PS5 himself. As is a year and a half since the launch of the new Sony console, there is still no chance to see one on a store shelf. This has a huge pain in the long run of dealing with supply issues due to covid-19 and other factors causing a semiconductor shortage expected to last in 2023 – and online sales getting hijacked by bots. Sony’s game console never has been fastest-selling due to the price of this product. The company announced the milestone in July, citing 10 million consoles already sold. Sony expected to sell about 15 million units in 2021, and another 22 million is expected to sell in 2022. While the Xbox series was impressive, the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch were both sold over Black Friday weekend this year over the 300 $300 console. It was partly due to the low price tag of the lower-end console, the value of Game Pass and Sony hardware availability.

The PlayStation 5 PC needs some work.

While the software that is powered by the PS5 received some handy upgrades this year, like the ability to add superfast SSD storage, so far, much was not done for the whole thing better. First off, background. Since the release of one of the PS4s core features, custom backgrounds and more, have not made the leap to PS5 like it previously. While we can edit our menu pages, hovering over a game gives us a full-screen wallpaper of that game, as is the idea that we might advertise the game regularly. It feels like the PS5 is always trying to sell me something, a new expensive DLC addition. It’s a plateplate. I appreciate Sony’s accessibility, so I can invert colors and adjust the fonts so I can read the font quickly, and make the backgrounds lighter. I just wish that didn’t look so dumb doing it. The PS5 is with more customization options. We should be able to replace ourselves with a whole other stuff. In the same way, allowing us to find our saved pictures and videos more easily would be useful. New ideas like activity cards show you what goals you’re close to accomplish in the games you are playing are really cool, but so far I have not seen a lot of games that can use them properly. Genshin Impact tells me that I’m close to finishing the prologue, but instead of telling me how, the activity card tells me it takes about five minutes to prepare the game quote. Some god steal the only kin for me. This isn’t really helpful. Take me where I have time, when I want to go. Tell me whom I will speak with or what I will fight. I was expecting something more useful than yours on the other side of the galaxy which translates as screentimes for the Xbox family. The good news is that this year Sony introduced a PS5 Beta program. The program allows certain users to access new dashboard changes and offer feedback, as well as the Xbox Insider program. As usual, the PS5 operating system can be much better, if a player comes up, and he takes care of it.

Now Streaming (For The last seven years)

Throughout the year 2021, Xbox Cloud Streaming was a great tool for its subscribers. The platform allows the subscribers to direct their phones, computers and consoles into the cloud. Sonys’ PlayStation Now streaming service has been running since 2014, but hasn’t made any noises similar to that. One of the problem is that PlayStation Now launched early, back in the days when internet connections and stability weren’t well enough for snuff. The other part is Xbox Game Pass. It’s a force that makes the streaming of games on the internet even more profitable. It’s fine. According to the latest reports, Sony has plans to integrate PlayStation Now into its existing PlayStation Plus service, and create a three-tiered competitor to Xbox Game Pass. What’s rumored to be launching in spring of 2022? Whatever the new service, called Spartacus, Sony will be doing it fast and difficult if it want to catch up to Xbox Game Pass seemingly unbearable momentum.

What’s the next step in PS5?

Now that the PlayStation 5 has become a hardcore game-playing machine, it has to leap back to the competition. The rumor that a streaming game may not be paid for, will the e-book? If a thing goes wrong, Sony is not only playing catch-up with Microsoft and feels that it needs to compete with the Xbox. The next generation of PlayStation VR would certainly help. Sony is the only one of the big three that embraces virtual reality (Labo VR is not counting). With the help of a special adapter for PS5 owners now, and the earliest versions can be brought in via a CMOS, but the new and improved hardware is coming next year. A pixel-tracking, acoustic feedback, and inside-out tracking, thus users won’t need a digital camera to record their movement. 2022 is also the year Sony doesn’t offer free upgrades to PS4 after a stinging push, followed by a proposed $10 increase for February’s Horizon Forbidden West. While this could be bad news for those clinging to their PS4 consoles, it’s necessary that the gaming experience, designed and released exclusively for the PS5, shows off more than what the console can do and make better use of unique features such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. If all else fails, 2022 will at least be the PS5’s most colorful year yet. For the first time, Sony began selling yellow console covers after spending the first half of the time and preventing third-party companies from doing the same. Sure, the Xbox Classic has GamePass, but does it come in pink? In fact, forget everything I said about playing catch-up and having to get out of the pack. The pink console will be 2022s console of the year. You heard it first.
