The release of the L-Esports animated series Arcane on Netflix has caused an influx of players to pick the main characters of the series’ champion in game. The opening ceremony of the Arcane competition was held on November 6th, just a day after the LoL World Championship finals have finished. Although the series won’t be successful in the past, it was due to the poor quality of other game-to-TV series efforts in the past. This set gained a lot of critical acclaim from both reviewers and the League of Legends community. The two characters that are the focal points of the TV series, Vi and Jinx, have seen a large increase in the number of times they were selected in the games. By November six, Vis pick rate increased 5.2% overall, increasing her pick rate to 8.4%. Jinx was an already popular pick ahead of the TV series release, but her pick rate increased by another 4.6% since the 6th November, reaching 15th in the league.
