Oh, and did I mention that Ciri likes to go through the Grasses Trial? No? Oh yeah, let’s get to it. We have fun with Lydia and Rience in this episode. Rience is my own mysterious fire mage from the four episode. He captured Jaskier and tortured him for information about Geralt of Rivia, to locate Ciri. It isn’t clear who the two were working for yetcould be Dijkstra, could be the emperor, or maybe even Eredin and The Wild Huntbut they are certainly bad news. Fortunately, Yennefer catches up with them and pretends to be Jaskier’s drunken wife before blowing a fireball into Rience’s face. Jaskier and Yen then run around Oxenfurt dressed in bold purpleso inconspicuous. Unfortunately our duo are separated again, yen is captured and held prisoner. That strange crone from the hut visits him again, and he has the power to be summoned to the hut again. This time she wants what she needs to do to regain her powers, and asks if that’s the answer. Why, can you capture Ciri? No doubt our favourite sorceress has some other motive in mind here, but she’s likely to be as ruthless as she has imagined and sacrifice her abilities to return.
