The best thing about this documentary is that it is free and accessible across a lot of streaming channels. Although most people will probably watch it through YouTube, it’s also accessible from Microsoft on The Roku Channel, Redbox and IMDbTV. There are six chapters each about 41 minutes long (YouTube links below).
Chapter 1. Renegades: Chapter 2: The Valentine’s Day Massacre. Chapter 3: And It didn’t Turn On. 6th edition, what? Chapter five: The Red Ring of Death. Chapitre 6: TV / but not TV.
“Xbox almost doesn’t happen. Learn why you’ll find out in this six-part series that opens your mind to the prehistoric beginnings of Microsoft’s videogame console. “There is an unremarkable story in the past that people have had behind the box, has problems and other problems.” As you’d expect from a wide-and-arrogant look at the Xbox history, highs and lows are included in the list for each player to see. The documentary does sound pretty embarrassing, and some failures have left the company for two years. The story also included the failed attempts to acquire the Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death fiasco that cost about $1 billion. Since you bought a Xbox 360, it was possible to take the RRoD. And when you talk about the RRoD, you can go in to the fun and make the hurts through the premium poster Microsoft offers in the Xbox Gear Store. The $24.99 poster measures 18 inches tall by 24 inches and is an ominous RRoD which will chant you towards you, almost as an homage to the murderous HAL 9000 “2001: A Space Odyssey” star. If you’re a gamer, we recommend that you don’t break down a few things in the busy schedule so that you can look at Microsoft’s Xbox documentary. I’m halfway through the first episode and I’m hooked already.
