The new software is quietly pushed live and is available for download on PC for Windows users with a user-friendly account. I don’t think that mobile versions are currently live. However, the information relating to these platforms’ new content creation tools is only undocumented. Now all users must set up LIVE Studio to sign up for their TikTok account. Through this platform they can connect directly to their audience on video-platform new ways and on multiple devices. In its current, very basic form, LIVE Studio allows users to pull videos from various sources, including the typical CG types, mobile pc, video capture and program video capture. With this users can capture their footage from other devices, such as an Elgato or a program like Steam, so they can stream the actual live footage in TikTok now. There are various basic tools for you to add your images and text to your scene, along with simple chat moderation. You can import settings from any other streaming software, such as StreamElements or OBS. A key to editing is that users can create scenes for a landscape or portrait broadcast, so there are options adapted to different types of creators depending on their way of presenting themselves. With this release, TikTok gets directly a voice in the competition with Live Streams like Twitch, while adding another factor to the content war with YouTube.
