IGNs got a new video, which basically consists of an animated story for the game and its heroes and contains little information about gameplay itself; the biggest info dump is on TapTap. We know a building with 24 talent trees and loads of skills, random dungeons, unlimited loot, and multiple heroes to pick from (four now with many more to come). It’s free-to-play, but it is apparently also being run as live-play play, and I swear I’m not making up this with a cosmetic store. The game was called singleplayer a summer ago, so if it stays true it’s likely to be seen with it again. But it seems that it’s the next phase of what was at once a major multiplayer IP and MMO. In the era of Ember Technology, 200 years ago the events of Torchlight II, humans resorted to Ember as the main power source for machinery operation and magic. A new force of fighters opens up against the backdrop of a prosperous civilisation whose corrupt influence is beginning to wreak havoc on the land and the dependent lives that depend on it. [] As civilization grows in a huge crisis, an elite group of fighters begins to force. With persistence and perseverance, they prevail in the face of darkness, meaning they are Torchlight. The men of Torchlight carry immense strength and unique powers and try to defeat evil forces and achieve salvation. Which is it called Torchlight Infinite? We designed Infinite to encapsulate and add all the great things that we loved about ARPGs. We also called Infinite, and for what we called the game the future, we will create new stories with lots of freedom when it comes to character building and dungeon exploration. We can wait to see what kind of crazy build that everyone would find out! Signups live on XD’s website. Source: YouTube, official page. Cheers, Overbyte.
