The remake is currently on stage in Far Cry 6 lead studio Ubisoft Toronto. The new engine is based on Snowdrop, a company used for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and the upcoming Star Wars game. This is a Ubisoft video that takes care of the project. Ubisoft said that it expects “new-generation visuals and gameplay” and the dynamic lighting and shadows of the series are known for. In a blog post, producer Matt West said that the remake is “on the very earliest stage” of development. “What we’re trying to do is make sure the spirit of the early games stays intact, in all manners that gave its early Splinter Cell its identity,” West said. “So, as we build it from the ground up, we’ll update it visually, and some design elements for players comfort and expectations, and we’ll keep it linear like original games, and not make it open world.” Two years ago, the first Splinter Cell Game opened in November 2002, and three more years ago, the last major-line Splinter Cell game, Ubisoft’s 2013 entry, Blacklist. The story of the series’ return has roared. Finally, Splinter Cell will officially return.
